Zoe Walters- Member of Academy Trust
I have been a Parent Trustee since April 2021 and the Safeguarding Link Trustee since November 2021 as well as Chair of Governors from September 22 to November 23. During my career I have worked as a Probation Officer for 13 years which also included roles in staff training, development and quality assurance activities. For a period of three years between 2019-2022 I was employed by the Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership as an Audit and Policy Officer. My current role is within the Local Authority as a Community Safety Strategy Coordinator.
I am passionate about promoting the wellbeing of children, assisting them to strive to reach their full potential and ensuring that they have a rewarding and enjoyable learning experience. Through the Governing Body working closely with the Senior Leadership Team we can achieve of Manor Leas Junior Academy’s Vision and have a positive culture.
Charisse Grayson - Member of Academy Trust
Sarah Greenfield - Member of Academy Trust
Sarah was formally Assistant Head and SENCo at Manor Leas Junior Academy and is now retired. She started her teaching career in Lincoln schools in 1990 after graduating from university in Newcastle, followed by a Postgraduate qualification from BGU. Sarah is keen to use her experience and passion for education to support the school within her new role.
Originally from Cleethorpes, Sarah enjoys regular seaside walks, going to he gym and zumba, and since retiring, has renewed her passion for learning languages, particularly German and Spanish.
Sarah lives with her partner and daughter, who is currently studying for her A Levels.
Robert Pitman - Chair of Trustees
Robert has worked in education across Europe and Asia for over 20 years both in school improvement and independently through his own company. He supports schools to access and engage with creative and cultural projects, review curriculum and develop support that inspires and nurtures creativity in children. H
He has recently completed a National Professional Qualification in Executive Leadership for Academies and is an experienced Trustee with extensive knowledge and experience of governance and educational policy.
He currently sits as the chair for the South and East Lincolnshire Council Partnership's 'Culture Board' and is leading on the development of Lincolnshire's Cultural Educational Partnership. In his spare time he coaches youth football, plays guitar and loves reading, music photography and watching film. Robert has lived in Lincoln since 2005 and is married with 2 children who both attend(ed) MLJA.
Tony Tomlinson - Chair of Finance Committee - Member of the Academy Trust and Trustee
Tony was born in Lincoln and has lived in North Hykeham for over 20 years. Parent of two former pupils at the school, he is now retired but worked in public sector finance in Lincolnshire for over 35 years.
Jonny Bell - Community representative
Jonny is the Children's and families outreach worker from St George's Church, Swallowbeck, where he has been in post since May 2020. Originally from North Norfolk, Jonny moved to Lincoln with his wife and two children in 2017. Working with children and families for over 15 years, he is passionate about establishing links with the local community and creating opportunities for the church to support school life. He enjoys playing squash, walking in the Lincolnshire countryside and he supports Norwich City football club.

Daniel Christie - Parent representative
Daniel is a Chartered Architect and a director at a local architectural practice. He is a trustee who provides advice to the school on matters relating to health and safety and maintenance. Daniel has lived in Lincolnshire since 2009, and his daughter is currently a pupil at MLJA, Outside of work, Daniel is also a keen artist, producing work primarily in lino printing and oil painting.
Stuart Brown - Parent representative
Stuart is a Chartered Accountant who works for a local leading firm as the Head of Technical & Compliance, specialising in audit, financial reporting and compliance matters, with experience of academy accounts.
Originally from Lancashire, via Nottingham, he has lived in Lincoln for 14 years and is married with 2 young daughters, 1 a student at MLJA and one at MLIS, alongside 2 dogs - Frank and Bruno!
